The Brazilian Secretariat of Foreign Trade has initiated an investigation, through Circular No. 50, dated June 30, 2025, to determine the existence of dumping in exports from China, Indonesia, and India to Brazil of hot-rolled stainless steel flat products, presented in coil or plate form, with a thickness equal to or greater than 2 mm and equal to or less than 50.8 mm, commonly classified under NCM subheadings 7219.11.00, 7219.12.00, 7219.13.00, 7219.14.00, 7219.21.00, 7219.22.00, 7219.23.00, 7219.24.00, 7220.11.00, 7220.12.20, and 7220.12.90, and injury to the domestic industry resulting from such practice.

The dumping analysis considered the period from July 2023 to June 2024. The injury analysis considered the period from July 2019 to June 2024.

Exporters will receive questionnaires from the Brazilian Trade Remedies Department (DECOM), which are not yet available, and will have 30 days to respond, with the possibility of a 30-day extension, upon request.
