We inform that the Brazilian Foreign Trade Secretariat (SECEX) initiated on April 3rd, 2025, an investigation, through Circular No. 25, of April 2nd, 2025 to assess the existence of dumping in exports of from Malaysia and Vietnam to Brazil of PET resin, with intrinsic viscosity between 0.78 and 0.88 dl/g, usually classified under subitem 3907.61.00 of the MERCOSUR Common Nomenclature (NCM), and injury to the domestic industry resulting from such practice.

There is already an anti-dumping measure in force until 2027 for exports of the same product originating in China and India.

The analysis of dumping considered the period from from July 2023 to June 2024. The injury analysis considered the period from July 2019 to June 2024.

Sampled exporters will receive questionnaires from the Brazilian Department of Trade Defense (DECOM), which are not yet available, and will have 30 days to respond, with the possibility of an extension for an additional 30 days, if requested.

Other parties have until April 23rd to apply for their qualification as interested parties in the process.
