On August 29, 2024, the Brazilian Foreign Trade Secretariat ("SECEX") initiated an investigation, through Circular No. 46 of August 28, 2024, to verify the continuation/resumption of dumping in exports of Seamless carbon steel pipes, used for pipelines and gas pipelines, with an outside diameter greater than 5 (five) nominal inches (141.3 mm), but not exceeding 14 (fourteen) nominal inches (355.6 mm) from China to Brazil, classified under subheading 7304.19.00 of the MERCOSUR Common Nomenclature (NCM), and the injury to the domestic industry resulting from this practice.
The analysis of continuation/resumption of dumping considered the period from January to December 2023. The analysis of continuation/resumption of injury considered the period from January 2019 to December 2023.
Interested parties have until September 18, 2024, to request their qualification in the proceeding.
