Dumping Investigation | Optical Fiber Cables

The Secretariat of Foreign Trade (SECEX) published today, on May 11th, Circular SECEX No. 16/2023, which initiated an investigation to verify the existence of dumping in exports from China to Brazil of optical fiber cables, commonly classified under sub-item 8544.70.10 of the Common Nomenclature of MERCOSUR - NCM, and of injury to the domestic industry resulting from such practice.

Exporters and importers considered interested parties will receive questionnaires from DECOM, and other interested parties have until May 31st, 2023, to join the proceedings.

The analysis of evidence of dumping considered the period from July 2021 to June 2022. The damage analysis period considered the period from July 2017 to June 2022.
