We inform that the Brazilian Secretariat of Foreign Trade, through Circular No. 67 of November 22, 2024, announced a positive preliminary determination of dumping and injury caused to the domestic industry regarding exports to Brazil of welded tubes made of austenitic stainless steel, grades 304 and 316, with circular sections, an external diameter of 6 mm (1/4 inch) or greater and up to 2,032 mm (80 inches), and a thickness of 0.40 mm or greater and up to 12.70 mm, commonly classified under subheadings 7306.40.00 and 7306.90.20 of the Mercosur Common Nomenclature (NCM), originating from India and Chinese Taipei.

As a result, the application of provisional antidumping duties on these exports has been recommended. The duties range from 125.18 USD/t to 1,086.35 USD/t for Indian companies, depending on the producer/exporter, and were set at 1,132.89 USD/t for all exporters from Chinese Taipei.

We highlight that the provisional antidumping duties have not yet been applied and are subject to the publication of a Resolution by GECEX.
